Video and Stereo Audio Program Fail Alarm

Thank you for purchasing the AVC PFA300. This monitor uses a microprocessor to evaluate a number of parameters on the incoming video and audio signals. DIP switches are used to determine the mode of operation to suite your requirements.

There are three modes of operation

  • Video with Audio Follow
  • Video only
  • Audio only
Six relays are provided on a DB25 connector to provide external controls and alarms. These are in addition to the changeover relays used for the video and stereo audio program and standby signals.

  • One relay is for video signals/alarm (RL1).
  • Another is for audio signals (RL2).
  • Three relays are provided to control an external source of video or audio or both. Start pulse, Stop, and Rewind are sequenced when alarm conditions occur (RL3, 4, 5).
  • The last is a general audio alarm such as left or right or both (RL6).
These relays can be controlled by different software set-ups to suite particular needs. The first two relays could be balanced left and right audio and RL6 could be video alarm. These features are not set in the standard software but are examples of features we can offer as options under special request.

Where the standby audio is a domestic type video player an inbuilt audio balancing amplifier is provided to match audio levels. Internal links determine XLR or RCA connector selection.
